Hi, I'm Nik I'm the designer and skilled craftsman behind this website and the projects featured here. My formal Education is Economics.
In high school, I thought I'd be a computer programmer but after being inspired by a small Frank Lloyd Wright house (check it out), I was hooked on residential design and construction.
What's my experience?
I knew I wanted to design and build houses so I decided to learn everything.
My first construction job was groundskeeper at a landscape nursery where I experienced my first power tools. Getting paid was just gravy atop learning about planting and irrigation and concrete and plant selection.
A handyman's assistant
From there, I moved onto working for a freelance handyman. We built kitchens and bathrooms and upgraded homes with flooring, tile, painting, and carpentry. I started offering my own expertise in the form of concrete counters. After a couple years of learning, I was ready to take on new challenges.
And then a carpenter's apprentice
I found a master carpenter and just about master everything - I learned about deck construction, roofing, foundations, framing, and took my drywall finishing skills to a new level.
And after 8 years of training
I haven't learned everything yet, but maybe what you need done is something I haven't done before - if so, contact me right away!
Email Me if you have questions...about anything.
